So after we ate eggcellent (sorry for the joke) eggs and pancetta, we left, around noon :S, to go to a kitchenware store. I was looking for something specific for some friends and maybe some souvenirs for us.
When we got there I didn't find what I was looking for but we bought some souvenirs. Italian silicon molds for dinosaur and little people chocolates and a cookie cutter :) After that we hurried to the Central Market near San Lorenzo to buy food for tonight.
We bought vegetables and chicken and I bought some wine to bring back home. It was a nice market. I would say not as nice as the one in Toulouse but as nice as the one we saw in Barcelona.
We went back to the apartment to drop our loot and ate a quick lunch at a near-by restaurant and then walked along the Arno river towards a big park to the West. We had been told that there might be a playground for Lianne there. We didn't find it but it was a nice walk and Lianne had fun playing with rocks.
We headed back towards the city center and Piazza della Republica because I wanted to see if I couldn't find a leather jacket that I would like. All the shops around were too "chic" for my tastes (and probably budget) so we went back near the Central Market because I had spotted the jacket I had tried on Monday at another stall and I was curious if they would have my size.
It just so happened they did! We even bargained the price ! I love it :D And on the way back home I even found the thing I was looking for in another kitchenware store.
We had an excellent and cheap diner, with the other wine bottle bought in San Gimignano, and booked a tour for tomorrow morning so we could see Michaelangelo's David at the Galleria della Academia (all the tickets for the museum were sold out, we should have booked earlier :S). We're still waiting for the confirmation but if it all works out, we'll even visit the duomo and learn a bit of history along the way. Hopefully it won't be raining too hard tomorrow too because part of it is a walking tour :S
That's it for today. I didn't even bring my camera out! Tomorrow is our last day and we're a bit excited to come back home. Until now, it's been an amazing trip and easier than I would have thought with Lianne. She's a pretty good traveler :)
Buena Notte!
