Brussels and waffles (and mussels)

We're in Brussels! And so much has happened since my last post. I'll even have to devided my post in paragraphs!

We wanted to go to le Louvre but it was closed so we went to the aquarium. It was much more for kids but we were inside and Lianne seemed to like the fish. We then had lunch in a nice café and walked to l'Arc de Triomphe. We didn't go to the top but just being under it was really cool. We then walked and shopped on Les Champs Élysées and went back to the hotel for a quick stop.

We met with Julien and had a great supper at a French Brasserie. We talked a lot and then came back to the hotel by metro.

On the 4th, we left the hotel around 1pm after eating breakfast and the girls taking a 2 hour nap. We walked along la Seine and to Notre-Dame de Paris. We bought a Paris T-shirt for Lianne next year. After that we went to la Tour Montparnasse. A tall building (210m I think) with a nice view of Paris. I sometimes can't believe everywhere Lianne will have been at 3 months old, hehe. We shopped a bit at Les Galeries Lafayettes and then took the metro to go eat at my friend's Cyril.

We almost didn't make it out the train with the stroller because 2 or 3 stations earlier a shitload of people entered. We had confit de canard and nice wine and came back by metro before it closed.

So, on the 5th, we were supposed to take a fast train to Brussels. But nooooo, the train company was on strike in Belgium... We decided to rent a car a drice there. Getting out of Paris was easy. The highway was easy (and the speed limit is 130 :D). But Brussels was crazy !!! There's no indication. I'm still surprised we got here. Today I brought back the car and, even though I loved the experience of driving like a crazy european, I'm happy I don't have to drive anymore in Brussels. I bought myself an excellent Gauffre de Liège after bringing the car back as a reward.

Today we didn't do anything. Net, washed some clothes. Our supper though was really good. We had mussels and fries in a great Belgian restaurant and Lianne slept the whole time :D

Tomorrow we'll do some visiting and see more of the family.
